Sofia Vergara has been named the highest-earning actress on television for the second year running, according to Forbes. The Modern Family star topped the list with £ 19 million, beating reality TV stars Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian who ranked fifth.
Sofia, 41, amassed millions over the past year thanks to an impressive salary increase and her roster of lucrative endorsement deals with Diet Pepsi, Covergirl, Rooms to Go and thyroid medicine Synthroid.
The Colombian star, whose fashion and homeware line at Kmart continues to thrive, is popular with advertisers for her widespread appeal in both North American and Hispanic communities, according to Forbes. The actress' bilingual talent has meant she has doubled up in endorsements for both Spanish and English adverts.
The hilarious Latina earned almost three times as much as The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco and Law & Order's Mariska Hargitay, who both tied second with £7million. The Keeping Up With The Kardashian sisters pulled in just over £6million and insisted they all took home equal pay from their combined efforts on the show. Apart from the consistently high ratings their reality TV show gains, the dark-haired beauties also raked in millions from their clothing lines at Sears and QVC. Other prime-time stars to make it in the top ten included Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, Ellen Pompeo and show host Bethenny Frankel.
With the fifth season of the hit comedy Modern Family set to air at the end of the month, Sofia has been busy filming back in Los Angeles. The avid Twitter user often keeps her fans updated on her movements and recently shared a series of photos from the set. "Getting back to work in LA!! "Episode 100!!❤❤," posted Sofia, next to a photo of her and her co-stars, shortly followed by "Modern Family!!," alongside a photo of her and her on-screen son Manny.
