On what was a wet and windy evening in London, Natalie Portman lit up Leicester Square as she walked the red carpet for the UK premiere of Thor: The Dark World.

The 32-year-old actress looked radiant in a full silver Christian Dior skirt that caught the light beautifully as she sashayed inside for the screening.

She teamed it with a simple black jumper, and in keeping with her simple but sophisticated look had pulled her hair up into a ponytail and wore minimal makeup to let her natural beauty shine through.

Natalie looked delighted to spend time with her fans ahead of the screening, signing autographs and posing for photos.

She was supported on the night by her husband Benjamin Millepied, who had travelled over from their home in Paris to be by her side, and the devoted couple could barely keep their eyes off each other as they stepped out for the screening.

Natalie's handsome co-stars, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston were also at the premiere, to the great excitement of the crowds. The two men were in high spirits as they celebrated the release of the film. And so too were their fans, who greeted them with loud screams as they arrived on the red carpet.

Tom looked dapper in a black tuxedo, while Australian star Chris — the film's protagonist — chose a three-piece suit.

Speaking at the premiere about working with Chris, Natalie — who plays love interest scientist Jane Foster — told BANG Showbiz, "I think Chris has chemistry with everyone he meets. He's the nicest, most professional, best actor."

"He's very easy to be around. It's definitely not something we needed to work at and I think that says so much about him. He's a great guy.

"The gang were also joined by their co-stars Kat Dennnings, who looked stunning in an dramatic black and gold dress, Idris Elba and Christopher Ecclestone.

This year's X Factor hopefuls also attended the premiere to catch the first glimpse of the highly-anticipated superhero sequel.
