Fans of the forthcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie were thrilled to see its stars pose in character together for the first time.
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan graced the cover of the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly as their on-screen personas Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
In the photo, Northern Irish actor Jamie, 31, is seen with his arm around Dakota and holding businessman Christian's infamous silver tie.
In the magazine's interview 24-year-old Dakota revealed that has been getting in shape for the role.
"Obviously, I want to look good naked," she said. "I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of feels awesome."
"There was a slight fear [about joining the film]," said Jamie. "But beyond anything else, I was really excited.""I grew up in a very liberal place," he added. "I'm not shocked by [the racy nature of the book]. It's essential to tell the story. I can't believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me."
The new photograph comes as Universal announced that it has delayed the movie's release date from August 2014 to Valentine's Day 2015.
While it was initially reported that the change in date was due to Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunman pulling out of the production , Universal have stated otherwise.
"We see this movie as a global event," said chairman Donna Langley. "The strength of this book is really worldwide, so we want to be able to take advantage of women who are invariably on vacation with their families during the month of August in Europe."
"So even if Charlie had stayed, we still would have been making the date change," she added.
Starring alongside Dakota and Jamie in the film, which will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, are True Blood actor Luke Grimes who will play Christian's brother Elliot Grey, and Jennifer Ehle who has landed the role of Anastasia's mother, Carla.
