Amy Willerton has been filmed flirting and cosying up to fellow I'm A Celebrity contestant Joey Essex, and in an interview on Tuesday, Amy's father Bruce Willerton said he approved of the reality TV star. When asked who he thought might win the jungle survival contest, Bruce admitted that he was a fan of Joey. "I think Joey Essex is a big favourite," Bruce told show host Lorraine Kelly, speaking from Australia where he is out with other families supporting their relatives on the show. "I do like Joey by the way. I hadn't watched TOWIE  before but I might give it a try. My girls said it's very good and they were fans before."

Bruce revealed that he'd also like Westlife's Kian Egan or professional snooker player Steve Davis win, as well as see Amy carry on.

While the Miss Universe GB model has been criticised for not pulling her weight in camp and not doing the washing up, Bruce admitted that Amy is just being herself. "When she's at home she tends to let us do the washing up for her," he said. "I think she's been herself, it's been lovely to watch. "Actually it's been lovely but also an emotional rollercoaster shall we say? I'm really proud of her. She's done really well and she's been Amy."

On Monday night's episode, the blonde beauty confronted fellow contestant Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter for starting a "campaign of hate" against her. "The way it was put to me yesterday was that you were leading a campaign of hate against me," said Amy. "Who said that?" asked Lucy, "Was it Al?" referring to American sitcom star Alfonso Ribeiro. "It wasn't a hatred campaign. A couple of days you were lounging around and doing nothing. When I feel someone is keeping something from the team, I get p***** off. "The girls then cleared the air and hugged it out, but Lucy later complained to EastEnders actress Laila Morse, who was voted off at the end of the episode, that she had been branded "the ring leader".As Laila joined hosts Ant and Dec after the elimination, the 68-year-old explained the tension in camp. "I don't think she's disliked," said Laila. "She's just got a different background. She does everything in a slow pace and I'm quick. She's a bit lazy."
