Downton Abbey nominated for a Golden Globe

Downton Abbey is in the running for a prestigious Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series. Nominations for the Golden Globes, one of Hollywood's annual highlights, were announced on Thursday morning. The Golden Globes honour the year's best in film and TV productions with separate categories for drama and comedy or musical.

Leading lights from the industry will gather for the 71st annual ceremony on 12 January 2014 which will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the second year running. American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave garnered the most nominations with seven each. See below for the full list of nominations.
