Michelle Keegan often has a beautiful golden glow, thanks to her Spanish roots. But her bronzed skin is causing a bit of a problem at the moment, as she prepares to film her final scenes for Coronation Street.

The actress, who has just returned from a romantic sunshine break in Dubai with fiancé Mark Wright, needs her new tan to fade fast in order to play the death scenes of her character Tina McIntyre.

"I was only away for a week and wore the highest factor sunscreen to protect my skin, but I just tan so easily,"

Michelle told the Manchester Evening News this week. "The only problem now is I need my tan to fade – and fast!"I've only got four more weeks left on Corrie and so it will soon be the death scenes, so I literally need to be as white as a sheet. "I'm praying there isn't more sunshine in Manchester in the next few weeks, because I’m going to have to stay indoors if there is."

The 26-year-old added, "If I don't fade, it will just be a case of lots of make-up to make me look paler."

Michelle announced her decision to leave Coronation Street last April, and confirmed Tina’s dramatic exit storyline in October. Tina will be killed off in a classic whodunit plot, and bookies are currently taking bets on the most likely culprit – including her secret lover Peter Barlow, his wronged wife Carla and her nemesis Tracy Barlow. Apparently show bosses have filmed four different endings to keep the keep the killer’s identity a secret. One person who is in the know is Michelle. “I know who kills Tina," she confirmed. "Well, I’m pretty sure I do anyway!"

Michelle was showing off her golden glow in a summery playsuit as she headed out to the launch of a hair salon in Manchester on Tuesday with her fiancé. The couple, who got engaged in September, perfectly complemented each other with their outfit choices. And it seems it was a total coincidence – the smitten couple only discovered they had chosen matching ensembles when they met up that evening.
