Ricky Wilson has said he would love to return for a second season of The Voice — provided Kylie Minogue does too.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman has admitted that the chance to work with Kylie was one of the main reason that he signed up to the show, and has said he can't imagine doing it without the pop princess.
Ricky said he will return for another series of The Voice if fellow judge Kylie does
"We have known each other for such a long time," Ricky, 36, told The Sun. "She is one of the reason why I did it and one of the reasons why I'd stay. People like the show — they like the chemistry."
There is a big question mark over Kylie's future role on The Voice. She recently told the Mirror that filming a fourth series of the talent show would clash with her upcoming Kiss Me Once tour.
"I'm touring this year and the timings wouldn't work," the 45-year-old confirmed. "I have loved it although there have been parts which have been really difficult, too taxing and emotional.
Kylie and Ricky have become good friends after judging on the show together
"You can't second-guess yourself. You deal with a lot of decisions and emotions."
Ricky isn't the only member of The Voice panel hoping she will change her mind. Sir Tom Jones has said he thinks the BBC "should do whatever they can to keep Kylie".
"It works how it is right now," he told the Mirror. "With the four of us, I think it's a good combination. It's working now, so why spoil it. Why change it?"
The BBC, meanwhile, have said it is too early to "speculate" about Kylie's future on the show.
Sir Tom Jones has said that he thinks the four judges are a good combination
"Kylie is a fantastic addition to the coaching line-up." a spokesperson said. "We are aware of Kylie's touring commitments and are looking to accommodate them so that if the series is recommissioned she could return to her coaching role.
"Discussions are ongoing and it's too early to speculate as we've not finished this series yet."
Kylie's exit would certainly come as a blow to the BBC. Her debut appearance alongside Sir Tom, Ricky and Will.i.am helped attract 8.4 million viewers — two million more than in the previous year, when Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue appeared alongside Tom and Will.
