Elizabeth Olsen 'terrified' of being involved in The Avengers: Age of Ultron

April 15, 2014

Elizabeth Olsen has admitted that it’s terrifying to be part of a huge franchise such as The Avengers, as she is worried she will reveal something she isn’t allowed to. "I want to take a photo and send to my friends, not that I want to tweet or Instagram it, just for personal reasons - and I feel like I'm going to get in trouble if I take a photo on set!", the Martha Marcy May Marlene actress said.

Following much speculation in 2013, it was later confirmed that Elizabeth will be joining the Avengers in the planned 2015 sequel, The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

"Any time they give us a call sheet or any time there's a new draft, they have to shred our old papers", said the 25-year-old actress, before adding: "I don't think I'm allowed to say anything! And I'm too terrified.""I really just feel like I'm doing something that's top secret and somehow has a lot more importance than anything else I've been around, so that alone is hilarious. "Starring as Scarlet Witch in her Marvel debut (as long as, spoiler alert, we don’t include her Captain America:Winter Soldier post-credits cameo) Elizabeth will star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson who will be playing her brother, Quiksilver.

The two will also star in this summer’s blockbuster Godzilla, and speaking to Flaunt magazine, Elizabeth told of how different the two productions were, despite being of a similar scale.

“Avengers already has so much attention—all the Marvel films do—so filming something like Godzilla was basically a cast of actors who are all really well-respected, they’re just under the radar”, she said. Unconfirmed reports circulated in March that Elizabeth was engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Boyd Holbrook.

The pair met on the set of Very Good Girls in 2012, and are said to have moved in together in New York a few months ago, setting up home in Brooklyn. It follows the engagement of her elder sister Mary-Kate Olsen to Olivier Sarkozy.
