The final X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer has landed and featuring a soundtrack to Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir, it’s looking pretty great.Featuring all our favourite X-Men characters, plus some new ones, X-Men: Days of Future Past sees characters from the original film trilogy, including Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, join forces with their younger selves.

In this latest trailer, we finally meet some of the newer characters as Wolverine is sent back in time by Professor X (Sir Patrick Stewart) to warn his younger self, played by James McAvoy, that all mutants must join forces to defeat a common evil.
Michael Fassbender’s Magento is now buried hundreds of feet underground following the events of X-Men: First Class, but he is helped to escape by an old friend of Wolverine’s – Quicksilver (Evan Peters), who helps Wolverine out with Magento’s prison break.
Due to the crossover appeal comics have, Quicksilver will also be seen in next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron with his sister Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, (although Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron will instead be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson)

Jennifer Lawrence also stars and we see her in her character Mystique's trademark blue skin, but also wearing some retro '70s clothes and a long blond wig, as she is persuaded by Wolverine to join the fight.Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Fan BingBing, and Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinkage also all star in the film which is out in the UK on May 22.Costing an estimated $225 million, X-Men: Days of Future Past is reportedly the second most-expensive film ever to be made after Avatar, and see’s Bryan Singer return to the director’s chair 11 years after last directing an X-Men film, 2003’s X2.
