Gossip Girl star Blake Lively arrived in Cannes wearing a hot-pink Gucci coat with a floppy hat. The L’Oreal ambassador will be walking the famed red carpet for the brand, and also for husband Ryan Reynolds, whose film The Captive premieres in Competition and follows a father trying to track down his kidnapped daughter.

Keeping up with the Kardashian’s star Kendall Jenner also arrived in the small port city yesterday, as did iconic screen actress Jane Fonda, who was wearing a leopard-print overcoat with a clashing scarf as she waved to fans who were there to greet the 76-year-old.

America Ferrara, looking comfortable and casual yet on-trend with a large fringed bag, will premiere the Dreamworks sequel How To Train Your Dragon 2 at the festival, while Myleene Klass is at the annual event for Cannes Festival theme week which will air daily on CNN International.

Spotted together for the first time since their rumoured marriage in January, Pamela Anderson and Rick Saloman were hand in hand as they arrived at the international festival, while Jury member Sofia Coppola, director of The Bling Ring, arrived with her children and looking French chic in cropped jeans and ballet flats with a white jumper.

Fellow Jury member Gael Garcia Bernal was also looking casual in a striped beanie and a blue shirt, while American actress Julianne Moore, who is in town to premiere her new film Map To The Stars, wore a sharp white blazer with tortoise-shell sunglasses.
