Mel B could be announced as the final X Factor judge in the UK show's 2014 line-up.Simon Cowell revealed he could very well have picked the former Spice Girl when speaking about the new role earlier in the week, sharing that the panellist would definitely be female. If it's Mel B, it seems the music mogul has picked the perfect star to join himself, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole on the programme this year. Here’s why...
Mel B
1 She has already worked on Got TalentDespite her obvious experience in the music industry as a pop star, Mel – real name Melanie Brown – has also been a prominent face on Simon's other shows around the world. She appeared as a Britain's Got Talent guest judge in 2012, and is currently lighting up US screens during her second season of America's Got Talent, on which she replaced Sharon Osbourne.Mel B took part in AGT's season nine which is currently airing on NBC in the States.

3 She's a talent show regularIf Mel B isn't taken on as a judge, it’s quite possible she could front the show as a presenter. The 39-year-old tried her hand at hosting Dancing With the Stars in Australia alongside season 12's Daniel MacPherson, but left before the next run of shows in 2013.Currently the busy mother-of-three barely has a spare moment, though – she has signed up to coach The Voice Kids Down Under and also fronts a radio show on 2DayFM in Sydney.

4 She's wanted by fellow X Factor UK judgesLouis Walsh is never one to hold back his feelings, and admitted that Mel would be the perfect lady to sit next to him on the panel. The 61-year-old told Digital Spy: "It has to be someone I like. I'd love it to be Sharon Osbourne, but I don't think it's going to be her. There are all sorts of rumours going around. "I think it could be Mel B from the Spice Girls," he added. "I love her and she's quite mad. She also did both the American version and the Australian versions of X Factor."
