Sandra Bullock jokes that she has already divorced Chris Evans

June 11, 2014

Sandra Bullock and Chris Evans sparked rumours of a romance back in March when they were spotted dining together in Los Angeles, but according to Sandra they've already divorced.

“We’ve since married and it started breaking apart, so we separated," she joked on Tuesday  - while continuing to remain quiet on whether the pair are dating.

She went on to add: "We filed for divorce, and I hope everyone can respect our privacy,"

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in Canada, Sandra revealed: "But we’re going to remain friends and share responsibility of the farm animals we’ve taken on, because you just can’t abandon the animals."

Captain America star Chris has made no secret of the fact he used to have a big crush on Sandra - and it appears that his childhood dreams could be coming true. They were introduced at the February 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar party. Three months later, Chris told Playboy, "I used to be in love with Sandra Bullock when I was growing up. Sandy B was my girl.

"I remember seeing Speed when I was in seventh grade and just thinking, ‘That’s her.’"

"They are not in a relationship, but they are definitely hanging out and are in the early getting-to-know-each-other phase," a source told E! News in May. "They haven’t put a title on it, but they really like each other."

The 49-year-old actress deserves some happiness, following recent news that the suspected burglar who broke into Sandra's Los Angeles home on Sunday had a machine gun on his person.

The Gravity star was inside her property when the intruder showed up but her publicist confirmed that the star wasn’t hurt during the incident.

The suspect was identified by police as 39-year-old Joshua Corbett and was charged with stalking, residential burglary, and possessing a machine gun.
