Double date: Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell's other halves join in for X Factor launch

X Factor 2014 kicked off on Wednesday evening at the Ham Yard hotel on Denman Street, London.And Cheryl-Fernandez-Versini made sure she had the wow factor for the launch of the talent show, wearing a stylish Jason Wu black shift dress with a white collar, which she teamed with a matching pair of monochrome high heels. The Geordie singer added a splash of colour with bright scarlet lipstick and glistening red nails.

The 31-year-old's new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini was also out in the capital for the big event – though he chose to leave Cheryl to rock the red carpet alone. Simon Cowell, meanwhile, was in good company as he smiled for the cameras. The music mogul was dashing in a pair of smart grey trousers and crisp white shirt, which he typically left open at the collar.A pair of sunglasses and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman at his side completed his look.

Mum to six-month-old baby Eric, Lauren, was stunning in a black leather pencil skirt, sleeveless blouse and high heels. She added a touch of gold with a belt which cinched her in at the waist. The couple looked as loved-up as ever, even sharing a kiss on the red carpet.

While fellow judge Melanie B didn't make it to the event – she is believed to be in the States working on America's Got Talent – the panel’s final judge Louis Walsh was suited and booted for the launch. The Irish X Factor judge went for a pair of jeans, which he teamed with a white shirt and navy blazer. Crystal Head vodka was the drink of choice at the X Factor launch party – The Canadian vodka brand created two signature cocktails especially for the event.
