After Saturday night's first round of live arena auditions, the X Factor contestants returned for another night of facing the judges and a 5,000 strong crowd at Wembley Arena.
The show kicked off with Italian student, Andrea Faustini, opting to sing Otis Redding’s Try a Little Tenderness.
The soulful 20-year-old blew the audience away with his powerful vocal performance, putting a smile on everyone’s face.
"I’m not sure whether the audience liked that or not ," joked Simon Cowell as the crowd were up on their feet. "It was a perfect audition," added Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, as the judges praised the hopeful’s passionate voice before sending him through to bootcamp.
Next to take to the stage was five-piece girl band, Rouge Kiss, who had failed to impress Simon at their room audition. In the arena they continued to disappoint Simon with their performance of Iggy Azalea’s Fancy but were given three yes votes by the other judges. Also hoping to wow the crowd was Overload, who chose to sing their own original song, No, No, No.
Their cheeky charm won over the girls in the audience, even getting Cheryl clapping along to their song.
"You’re everything a boy band should be," praised Mel B as the judges congratulated the young boys and gave them four yeses. However, as with last night's acts, many of the contestants crumbled under the pressure, with the crowd's brutal honesty making things even worse.
Lottie Lou and Carly Cunningham struggled to impress the four judges and the booing crowd but Stevi Ritchie's charisma and dance moves won over the unhappy room and he was sent through to the next round.
Later in the day, Kayleigh Manners took to the mic to sing The Beatles' Here Comes the Sun but struggled in front of the audience. Cheryl asked her to sing her second song choice, Ellie Goulding's Your Song.
"Your voice is amazing," said Mel B in an attempt to encourage the nervous singer before sending her through to the next round of auditions.
Last to audition for the judges was former Navy fitness instructor, Jay James, who impressed the judges in the room auditions with his honest, heartfelt performance of A Great Big World's Say Something.
The 30-year-old stunned the crowd with Coldplay’s Fix You and saw a standing ovation from both the judges and the crowd. The X Factor 2014 continues at 8PM on ITV next Saturday.
