Jada Pinkett Smith has confirmed her role in the upcoming Magic Mike sequel. In an interview with Queen Latifah this week, Will Smith's wife announced that she would be starring in the film about a troupe of male strippers, alongside scantily-clad stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Alex Pettyfer.
"You know Channing and (director) Gregory (Jacobs) and Warner bros really took a chance," Jada, 43, said of her role.
"There was a character written for a male that they wanted to turn into a female."
Although the actress said she "can't really reveal" too much about her character, she did confirm she would not be stripping off. "It's not one of those (characters)!" she told her host. "But I'm excited about it. "Jada also said she isn't at all nervous about being around half-naked men on the set of Magic Mike XXL.
"I'm used to being around beefcake like that because you know who I live with," she joked, referring to her husband of 16 years, Will.
"I'm used to that kind of beefcake-ness in my environment. I can handle it."
