Jacqueline Jossa has been named sexiest female at the Inside Soap Awards. The 21-year-old EastEnders actress – who is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Dan Osborne – was unable to attend the ceremony, but was nevertheless delighted to take the title.

"It's quite nice to have that kind of label considering I'm pregnant, it's fabulous," she said. "I think this has been my favourite year at EastEnders, it's been really, really fun," added the star, who plays Lauren Branning in the BBC soap. "It's been nice to be a part of it all – it's a nice feeling. And there's so much exciting stuff coming up. "Jacqueline and TOWIE star Dan, 23, announced they were expecting their first baby together in August.

The couple have been together on-and-off for around a year, but cemented their relationship status in June when she shared a photo of them cuddling up together. Dan also has a son Teddy from his previous relationship.In what was described as the "most closely fought battle in the history of the Inside Soap Awards", EastEnders was named best soap at the star-studded event, with Danny Dyer awarded the best actor trophy.

Other soap favourites scooping awards on Wednesday included Hollyoaks' stars Nikki Sanderson and Danny Mac, named best actress and sexiest male respectively, Emmerdale's Michael Parr, crowned best newcomer, and Coronation Street's Simon Gregson, named funniest male.
