X Factor: Louis Walsh takes hit with double group elimination

Following last night’s live show, The X Factor 2014 returned tonight to reveal which two contestants would be leaving the competition. The show kicked off with a group performance of Ellie Goulding's Anything Could Happen before Pharrell Williams took to the stage.

Blonde Electra were the first group to leave the show

The Happy singer impressed the audience with his latest single, Gust Of Wind, before Taylor Swift wowed in a stunning monochrome co-ord while singing Shake It Off.As the contestants came onto the stage to find out the results, tension was high as Dermot O'Leary announced which acts got through to next Saturday’s show.Blonde Electra were names the first acts to leave the competition before Stephanie Nala and Overload Generation prepared to sing to stay in the X Factor.

The group of boys were first to take to the stage to sing Christina Perri's A Thousand Years before Stephanie Nala sang Brandy’s Have You Ever.

Overload Generation left the competition

Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini chose for Stephanie to stay in the competition while Louis Walsh and Mel B decided to keep Overload Generation meaning that the decision went to Deadlock.

In the end, Overload Generation were the first contestants to leave the competition as they received the lowest public vote.
