Catherine Zeta-Jones stars in the film as glamorous journalist Rose, sent to the coastal town of Walmington-on-Sea to write about the efforts of the Home Guard volunteers.The big screen reboot on the small screen comedy began filming in Yorkshire earlier this month.
In these first shots, we see Catherine sat in a vintage car, joined by Toby Jones as Captain Mainwaring, as well as a group snap of the soldiers.
Love Actually's Bill Nighy will play Sergeant Wilson while star of The Inbetweeners Blake Harrison will play Ian Lavender's character Private Pike.
Danny Mays, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie will all also star in the remake.
Dad's Army attracted 18 million viewers during its run between 1968 and 1977 and repeats of the show today are still enjoyed by roughly two million viewers.
