Gemma Collins decided to leave I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here after just three days in the jungle, after she had reached her lowest point both on the show, and according to the usually bubbly blonde, in life. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, she told the cameras that she couldn't carry on with the show. "I just can't do it, it's not for me, I love myself too much to put myself through this," said the tearful The Only Way Is Essex star.

"I'm a celebrity get me out of here, I can't do it I have to go. I'm very sorry if I've let anyone down or if I've caused any agg [sic] but I have to look after number one and I have to go. The boutique owner hit rock bottom on Wednesday's episode, as she told her campmates: "I've never felt so unhappy in all my life". "It's making me feel panicked and stressed, this is terrible, it's not normal, it's not about food, I'm not cut out for this, I'm not having a diva fit, if I'm less famous for it I don't care, it's the right thing for me to go. "After a brief change of heart, the 35-year-old eventually decided to leave the jungle. She then faced an emotional farewell with her fellow celebrities Down Under, who she had only just joined in the main camp after being locked in the slammer since her arrival on the show.

A rejuventated Gemma told her fellow campmates: "I feel so amazing and strong and I will never regret this. I believe that this is the start of me now and nothing is going to change it. "I just want to be me and I don't need to sit in the jungle for three weeks and play up to the cameras, I'm tired of it, I just want to be me. This has been the most life changing thing I've ever done and the best thing I could have done for myself. "After her departure was shown on Wednesday's episode, Gemma took to Twitter to thank her fans for standing by her despite her poor performance on the series. She wrote: "Your support is overwhelming and can't thank you enough through a very difficult time xx #Love."
