Broken friendships and deceit in Made in Chelsea episode eight

December 1, 2014

After last week’s explosive Made in Chelsea episode, the rich elite returned to our screens tonight for more drama and tears. Monday’s episode kicked off with Andy Jordan explaining to Jamie Laing that Louise and Rosie were making the situation awkward between him and Alik, saying that she never wanted to see him again. In a bid to cheer up his friend, Jamie admitted that he was renting a chateau in France to party with their friends.

Louise is annoyed at Alik for being friends with Andy

Enjoying an afternoon at the salon, Binky, Louise and Rosie met up and the conversation soon turned towards Louise’s awkward run-in with her ex. “I said ‘I basically said I don’t like you’,” said Louise, admitting that she had no intention of speaking to her ex-boyfriend again and warning that he “better stay clear” from her and Alik. Across town, Watson sisters, Tiff and Lucy had a catch up over coffee before the HELLO! Online blogger admitted that she had invited the girl who slept in Sam’s bed to come. Fran retuned to the show, explaining that Sam had called her up day after their sleepover and said that he begged her and Binky to not mention it to anyone, shocking Binky’s best friend, Lucy. “He’s the worst,” said Tiff, before Lucy said that he wasn’t worth her tears. “I was actually starting to like him,” she admitted. Strolling through the French vineyards, Jamie, Proudlock, Andy and Lucy reveled in a spot of wine tasting before Jamie started to defend his friend, Sam. Unimpressed with Jamie’s attitude, Lucy revealed to the group that Sam had consistently lied to her sister and made her cry. “You told them I was obsessed with you,” said Fran to Sam, before he admitted to being “quite inappropriate” and admitting that he should have told her about Tiff.

The cast mates enjoyed a weekend in Provence, France

‘If you tell any more lies, you’re going to trip yourself over,” warned Fran to an apologetic Sam. Across the Channel, Lucy confronted Binky about keeping Fran and Sam’s sleepover secret. “We’re different because I would’ve told you,” said Lucy before she pointed out that Binky’s constant keeping of secrets was upsetting people. “Your loyalty does lie with Binky,” said Jamie before Binky broke down into tears while Lucy said that she didn’t keep it secret in a malicious way. Back in Blighty, Steph, Josh, Alex and met up for drinks and advised Tiff to text Sam and talk about their relationship as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Louise revealed to Rosie that she was unhappy with the way that Alik wasn’t defending her decision to not speak to Andy while Alik admitted to Andy that he didn’t want to change and not hang out with him. “You being my friend isn’t causing pressure. There is not reason for us not to be friends,” said the New Yorker.

Lucy is weary of Sam breaking her sister's heart

The next day, Jamie called Sam and confronted him about lying to him saying that he didn’t know he had “tried it on” with Fran. Over in Chelsea, Tiff admitted to Stephanie that she was worried about giving Sam a second chance. “Give him a second chance or you’ll regret it,” advised Stephanie. Enjoying a night of wine and canapés, Binky Rosie and Louise discussed Andy’s “weird” relationship with “It seems like things are going in a positive direction,” said Jamie before Lucy said it would end in tears. Calling her “one-chance Watson” Jamie appeared to annoy Lucy before Louise admitted that her reservist attitude would make her end up alone. “If we get burnt we then don’t think it’ll work out the next time,” admitted Lucy. Across the courtyard, Andy and Rosie argued about his friendship with Alik before the American joined the duo and revealed that, in normal circumstances, it was weird to be odd to be friends with a girlfriend’s ex but he likes Andy. “It’s shady,” admitted Rosie before Alik said that he had to be confident and choose his own friends. Returning to London, Tiff, Lucy and Stephanie met up to discuss Tiff’s relationship with Sam before Tiff admitted that she had a “bad feeling about it”. “You’re going to do what you want to do at the end of the day, it’s up to you,” said Lucy. Later that day, Tiff and Sam met up at her house and she admitted that she wanted to make a go of things with her new beau, but he would have to talk to her sister first. Over at The Breakfast Club, Alik enjoyed an English fry-up with Jamie and Andy before Louise texted to say that she would be joining. After leaving their brunch date, Andy and Jamie walked past Louise and she snubbed her ex. “You stabbed me in the back,” said Binky as Fran tried to explain that she had to tell the truth to Lucy and Tiff. “I’m not a liar” said Binky, shouting at her flat mate, accusing her of “throwing her under the bus”. Walking home, Jamie asked Andy if he really cared about what Louise thinks. “I’m going to remove myself from the situation,” said Andy while Louise told Alik that she didn’t think it was right for her boyfriend to be friends with her ex. Tune in next Monday at 9pm on E4 for more Made in Chelsea drama and to find out who Spencer Matthews is now dating.
