Ola Jordan has broken her silence following reports that she is set to leave Strictly Come Dancing. The Polish beauty, who has appeared on the BBC show for the past eight years, was rumoured to be quitting the celebrity dance competition at the end of the current series. Taking to Twitter to speak out, Ola, who didn't confirm or deny the speculation, instead posted: "I'm really confused about this EXCLUSIVE Ola Jordan....stories!!! Where do they get it from???? Mmmm.... Cos they didn't get it from Me!!!"
Ola Jordan wrote on Twitter that she was 'confused' by her leaving Strictly rumours
Her message came after an insider told The Sun that Ola had plans to sign a very lucrative deal with Channel 4.
"Ola leaving Strictly will come as a huge blow to the show," the source said. "She hasn't been the most popular dancer in recent weeks and there have been some problems, but she is still one of the best professionals on the show. "She has been there since 2006 and won the whole thing with Chris Hollins in 2009, so she will be a big loss."
Ola Jordan and her husband James will appear in a dance reality TV show, the reports claimed
Ola was most recently at the centre of a controversy regarding her celebrity dance partner Steve Backshall, who is said to have lodged a complaint with the BBC that he was "being bullied" by her during rehearsals. At the time Ola's husband, professional dancer James, defended his wife on Twitter, stating that Ola didn't have "a bad bone in her body". James used to dance on Strictly but was not asked back this year. The newspaper report went on to say that Channel 4 was offering the couple a big pay package and the chance to star on-screen together in a new programme. "Ola's going to do The Jump at the start of next year and they are lining up a dance reality show for [her and James] to star in," the source added.
Ola Jordan ditched her trademark blonde locks shortly after she was voted off Strictly
Days after being voted off Strictly last month, Ola underwent a dramatic transformation and swapped her trademark blonde locks for a darker look.
Some viewers saw this as a hint that Ola was preparing to leave the show, as Strictly's professional female dancers are reportedly under strict rules from the producers to maintain a certain hair colour and style. How do you feel about Ola potentially leaving? Leave your comments below.
