Pixie Lott and her professional dance partner Trent Whiddon were the tenth couple to leave series 12 of Strictly Come Dancing. Despite being in the frame for taking the Strictly glitterball trophy, Pixie and Trent lost Sunday night's dance-off to former Blue singer Simon Webbe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff.
Judge Len Goodman preferred Simon and Kristina's American Smooth to Heartache Tonight by Michael Bublé over Pixie and Trent's Cha Cha to the Glee cast version of Love Shack.
Pixie told host Tess Daly how much she had enjoyed the experience
While Len and his fellow judge Darcey Bussell chose to save Simon, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli opted for Pixie.
"It was really good seeing you both again, both of you were absolutely brilliant and better than Saturday night but for me," said Bruno. "I have to go for overall dance ability and tonight, Pixie and Trent stood out."
Pixie told presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman how much she had enjoyed being on the show. "I was absolutely loving it," she said. "I had the best time ever. I am sad that I won't get to learn the Salsa and the American Smooth next week. "I have honestly loved this experience so much and I am so pleased that I decided to do it. I couldn't have asked for a better dance partner – honestly, Trent, you have been amazing. I have learnt so much and I am so grateful for it."

Trent was equally full of enthusiasm for his 23-year-old partner. "I couldn't have asked for a better partner," he said. "Someone who is a super talent and so hard working, the nicest, sweetest, most genuine person you could ever meet.
I have had such a fantastic time. She is so fantastic and deserves all the success in the world. I wish her all the very best."
