"Felicity made a very charming Jane," said Professor Hawking, before adding: "The film was surprisingly honest about our marriage, it reflects our struggle to bring up three children, despite my disability. "Based on Jane's memoir, the film is expected to garner a number of BAFTA and Oscar nominations , and has already scooped nominations for the SAG awards and the Golden Globes.
Felicity said of meeting Jane for the first time: "When she opened the door she was like a ray of sunshine, very open, very warm, you can't imagine what she went through." "I was very impressed with Felicity," added Jane Hawking, before continuing: "and when I saw Felicity on the screen, I thought, 'oh my goodness, that's me', because she had captured my mannerisms."
