Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Pike spent much of her childhood on the road with her parents who were opera singers. She later studied in Bristol on scholarship and took on a degree at Oxford University.

While at university Rosamund took time to star in various TV shows, and after graduating she gained stage experience in several Shakespeare plays and on David Hare's Skylight, and Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Very quickly though Rosamund was noticed by casting directors for one of Britain's most loved franchises - the Bond movies. Die Another Day featured Pierce Brosnan and Rosamund played the role of Miranda Frost, an M16 agent and Bond girl.

She later went on to star in the Oscar-nominated Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley, and continued her work on stage, taking on Hitchcock Blonde by Terry Johnson and Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke.

Over the years Rosamund worked on various British movies, and starred in Hollywood fantasy epic Wrath of the Titans, but it was in 2014 that Rosamund finally found a role which she could get her teeth into - when she won the role of Amy Dunne in David Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling thriller Gone Girl.

Rosamund won rave reviews for her portrayal of the missing wife in middle America, and found herself Oscar and BAFTA nominated in 2015.

After meeting on the set of Pride & Prejudice, Rosamund and director Joe Wright were engaged but Joe later called off the wedding in 2008.

Rosamund now lives with her partner of five years, Robie Uniacke, and the pair have two sons - Solo born in May 2012, and a second born in December 2014.
