Dame Helen Mirren saw the funny side after she suffered a mishap at the premiere of her new movie Woman in Gold on Monday. The actress was entering the event at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival Berlinale when she tripped over her dress while going up the stairs.
Luckily there was a man on hand to help Helen to her feet, and the actress styled out the accident with good grace, jokingly wagging a finger at the photographers who captured her stumble.

Dame Helen looked incredible at the event, wearing an emerald green Dolce & Gabbana dress with a fishtail hemline – which no doubt made walking up the stairs challenging.
The 69-year-old is in Berlin to promote Woman in Gold along with her co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Brühl. The actress plays Jewish refugee Maria Altmann, who takes on the government to retrieve artwork that she believes belongs to her family.

It is not the first time that Helen has showed her down-to-earth nature. The actress endeared herself to fans even more at the start of February by showing that she's not too grand to take public transport.
Dame Helen, who has played the Queen on two occasions, was seen on the New York subway. Her journey was captured by a fellow passenger who shared his photo on Instagram with the caption: "Well, that just happened. Dame Helen Mirren sitting across from me on the R train."

In the image, the actress is seen elegantly dressed in a faux fur trimmed coat and long purple gloves, with her bag on her lap. The Brit was praised by New Yorkers for observing correct subway etiquette and not taking up too much space.
In the past Helen has shown how down to earth she is by taking off her high heels at red carpet events and turning up to a gala with her hair dyed pink.
