Fans of the Disney film Frozen may have a while to wait for a full length sequel to the animated hit. The film's co-directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, have revealed that they are not currently working on a follow up to the 2013 movie.
"It's been in the press that we are doing it, and we would ask each other, 'Are we?' They'd have a date and a cast and it was like, OK…" Chris told Buzzfeed.
Meanwhile Jennifer said they haven't had time to develop a story for Frozen 2 yet.

"It all comes down to the story. Like with the short, it was so daunting until we found the story. Then it was all of the things it usually is and we were thinking of every emotion and moment and feeling.
"I think that's all we can do. Until we find our way into what's next, emotionally, it will feel too big. We just finished the short two weeks ago. One year ago, it was a lot to even think about doing a short. We were quite tired. We don't really know what it's like to stop for a minute and think about what we want to do next."
Frozen has achieved unprecedented success following its release in 2013. The animated film has gone on to become the highest-grossing family film of all time, with global takings of $1.3 billion.

The film also won Best Animated Film Feature at the 2014 Oscars, along with Best Original Song for Let it Go.
While fans may be disappointed there is not an imminent sequel in the works, they will be able to see Princess Elsa, her sister Princess Anna and the loveable snowman Olaf back on screens in the short film Frozen Fever.
The seven-minute film will air ahead of Disney's Cinderella in UK cinemas from 3 April, and from 13 March in America.
