Holly Candy and Olympia Valance make great sister act at Neighbours' 30th anniversary party

March 18, 2015

Sisters Holly Candy, née Valance, and Olympia Valance lead stars in celebrating the 30th anniversary of Neighbours on Tuesday night. Olympia, who joined the cast as new character Paige Novak late last year, remained close by her big sister at the London bash marking 30 years of the popular soap on the small screen. The budding actress was stunning in a bright green lace dress with black heels and clutch with her brunette locks swept back into an updo, while Holly opted for a cream studded gown with black sleeves, which was teamed with a pair of glittery heels and clutch.

Holly, 31, left the soap, in which she rose to fame as Flick Scully, in 2002 to pursue her music career. Her younger half-sister, with whom she shares Serbian model and musician Rajko Vukadinović as a father, surprisingly joined the soap 15 years later. The Australian beauties were joined by famous faces from across the soap world, including Emmerdale actress Fiona Wade, who plays Priya Sharma, as well as actor Danny Boy Hatchard, EastEnders' newest rogue Lee Carter. Lizzie Cundy was also at the party, showing off her toned and tanned figure in a vibrant red minidress and matching high heels.

Anne Charleston, who played Madge on the soap, was glamorous for the milestone anniversary

Current Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis, whose character Paul Robinson is due to embark on a very dark storyline in the show, was also at the bash on behalf of the Oz stars, as well as Madge actress Anne Charleston. No doubt fans and stars alike are reminiscing over past episodes as the Channel 5 soap marks the impressive milestone. Kylie, who along with Jason Donovan joined the show in 1986, spoke during the Neighbours: The Stars Reunite show which aired on Monday.

"I love Charlene's first scene, where she tried to break into a house," said Kylie. "I punched him [Jason Donovan]. It was a good start. She was a tomboy, it was a perfect first scene." She added: "The fact I'm talking about it 27 years after leaving... I feel nostalgic. So many people have so much affection for the show."
