The last time Hollywood actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin starred alongside each other was the 1980 classic Nine To Five. Now the two are back together again for an original Netflix series, Grace and Frankie.
The two play rivals whose lives are rocked forever by a revelation. The series then follows the pair as they come to terms with the actions of those around them, and as friendship blossoms.

Jane and Lily remained friends in the 34-years between Nine To Five and filming on Grace and Frankie, and 77-year-old Jane says of the show: "The series toes a line between comedy and drama at all times.
"I always wanted to do a show about the changes women face as we grow older."
"People say we have a lot of chemistry together," adds Lily, 75. "It's because we've been friends for so many years. It seems like we've known each other always."
Also starring in Grace and Frankie are Sam Waterston - who featured alongside Jane in TV show The Newsroom - and Martin Sheen - who played President Bartlet in the Emmy-winning show The West Wing with Lily.

In 2014 Jane was awarded a lifetime achievement award for her outstanding film career by the American Film Institute at a special gala in LA.
The actress might have been following in the footsteps of her father Henry Fonda, the sixth recipient of the award in 1978, but as Michael Douglas, who presented Jane with the award, said, "Jane, you are true film royalty, not through birth, but through your talent."
Her brother, Easy Rider star Peter Fonda, said "Jane, I've never been prouder of you, and I know Dad is too."
Grace and Frankie will air exclusively on Netflix on 8 May 2015.
