Louis Walsh has suggested he is being replaced on The X Factor by Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. After much speculation about the judging line-up, Louis has revealed he is definitely leaving the show and that the 30-year-old breakfast show host will take his place on the panel."He's got my job. I've flat out left," Louis, 62, told the Daily Star. "I'm not going back to the show, absolutely gone. I'm pleased as I get to do my actual job now."

The music manager did have a word of warning for party-loving Nick, however. "I don't think he realises the hard work he has to put in though," he commented. "It's going to be hard work for him. You don't just show up. "It's three or four days a week. You have to mentor, it's a lot of hard work. "Louis' comments come after Nick himself addressed speculation he was joining Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on the X Factor panel. "I wouldn't risk my job on Radio 1 but I think I could do both," he said. "I don't see why I couldn't do it. I don't think it would contradict my show on Radio 1. I think they would complement each other."

According to the Daily Star, BBC bosses are concerned about the DJ working on the rival show to Strictly Come Dancing, and a source said that the topic had been a "huge talking point" at the BBC."Some, like Nick, think it would be great for his profile and could help bring a wider audience range to his breakfast show," the insider said. "But other bosses disagree and think it would be biting the hand that feeds him. "Meanwhile, a spokesperson for The X Factor has stated: "No formal decision has been made regarding the full judging line-up for this year."
