Brooklyn Beckham visits King Arthur set: Has he joined the cast?

June 19, 2015

Not content with taking on the modelling world, is Brooklyn Beckham looking to move on to the big screen? The 16-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham certainly had fans guessing on Friday, when he posted a behind-the-scenes snap from the set of King Arthur.

"3 days on the set of king Arthur, had a great time. Thanks @guyritchie," Brooklyn captioned the picture on Instagram, which shows Guy, Brooklyn, and cast members cheering at the camera.

The project already has a dream team in the form of director Guy Ritchie, Geordie actor Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana and Djimon Hounsou. Charlie, last seen as a bad boy biker in the US TV series Sons of Anarchy, takes the lead role.

Although Brooklyn was not in costume, his picture comes a week after it was revealed that his father, football legend David, would be taking on a cameo role for the fantasy film, which is out in 2016 with the full title Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.

First reported by film website Film Divider, it is thought David will appear in the scene where Excalibur gets drawn from the stone - and apparently football puns have been written into the script for Becks' appearance.

Sixteen-year-old Brooklyn is slowly becoming almost as popular as his parents, rapidly gaining thousands of followers on his new Twitter account. Brooklyn amassed over 20,000 fans within just a couple of hours of signing up to the social media in May.

As for the five lucky people he has chosen to follow, his mum Victoria Beckham made the cut, along with close friend Chloë Grace Moretz and actress Reese Witherspoon.

Brooklyn has fast become a social media sensation and hit a landmark two million followers on Instagram on his dad's 40th birthday. The teen marked the occasion by posting a family photo with his younger brothers Romeo and Cruz smiling in front of a Happy Birthday banner.
