Just a few days after the news broke that Stephanie Davis had been axed from Hollyoaks with immediate effect, the actress took to Twitter to break her silence. Stephanie reached out to her fans on her social media account, which she last used in June 2014, to thank them for their support.
On Thursday it was announced that Stephanie, 22, would no longer reprise her role as Sinead O'Connor on the soap, after she was deemed "unfit to work".
"I would like to thank all of the fans for your continued support and not believing everything you read," wrote Stephanie. "I'm excited to embark on a new adventure and already excited with things to come! U guys have been amazing and I love you all!!! Thank you! Stephanie xxx."

The Merseyside-born star has featured on Hollyoaks since she was 16, but following a series of incidents, show bosses decided to drop the brunette beauty.
Her agent released a statement earlier this week, writing: "Stephanie's contract was terminated following warnings for lateness, attendance and after a final incident in which she turned up to set unfit to work because of alcohol consumption."
Alongside her tweets, Stephanie also assured fans that she was heading for a fresh start. The small-screen beauty posted another message on Twitter, writing, "Hair change time.... #wow #change #exciting."

She also shared a snap on Instagram of her freshly painted nails and captioned it: "In LOVE with my new long pointy nails, buzzing. Thank you@lynzienails ? #gettingbacktome #feelinggooodd."
The Over the Rainbow star is also no doubt relying on her boyfriend Sam Reece for support. Calling the model her "rock," Stephanie shared a sweet throwback photo of her beau kissing her on the cheek.
