Carol Kirkwood became the latest celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend. Despite being disappointed about leaving the dancing competition, the weather woman said: "It has just been the most wonderful experience ever."
After the public votes were counted and combined with the judges' scores, Carol and her partner Pasha Kovalev had to dance against EastEnders actress Kellie Bright to stay in the competition.
The BBC presenter took to the floor again on the Sunday night show to perform an American Smooth to Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like a Woman. Kellie and her professional dance partner Kevin performed a waltz to Love Ain't Here Anymore by Take That.
Despite impressive performances from both couples, the judges chose to save Kellie, allowing her to return to the dancefloor next week.
After hearing her fate, 53-year-old Carol said: "I will never forget this as long as I live. A huge thank you to everybody from the runners to make-up, hair, wardrobe, the lovely judges and all your encouragement, the fabulous contestants, the crew but more than that to Pasha."
Praising her partner, she added: "He's just wonderful. He's got the patience of a saint, the best teacher in the world, a gentleman and a gentleman so thank you."
Pasha added: "I'm so proud of you. Working with you was the most amazing experience I have had on Strictly because I couldn't even believe that you can be so nice. People are that nice, I didn't know that. Thank you so much. I'm definitely going to miss you singing to me."
Next weekend the remaining nine couples will return to the dancefloor at 6.50pm on Saturday 14 November.
