Professional dancer Anton Du Beke has hit back at claims Strictly Come Dancing is fixed

Last weekend viewers became suspicious of some wrong-doing after Anton and his partner Katie Derham were chosen to continue to the final over Anita and Gleb, despite receiving eight points less than their competition from the judges.Speaking out about the accusations the dancer said: "Strictly is like nothing you’ve ever experienced in your life, it’s huge, it’s massive. And any mention of fixing sort of make me laugh because that would suggest that there’s quite a lot of organisations going on to fix something…it’s too complex a thing to even get involved in. so it’s complete nonsense."

"Also they have a building next to the BBC called Compliance which is an ever so slightly larger building with its own postcode who oversee everything. It’s ludicrous in its concept," he added. The star, that is hoping to reclaim the glitter ball trophy in this weekend’s final, also revealed that he believes the show is so popular because of the public engagement. "The public really have a say, the judges do their thing and the public have their own part in it where they have an equal share in the vote.""The public love the show and invest in the show and make the show what it is and that’s why we get 12, 13, 14 million viewers for the show…It’s just got to be real because it’s the audience really who own the show, it’s not us. Strictly Come Dancing is the purest sot of television there is," he finalised.
