Aliona Vilani quit Strictly 'to start a family'

Aliona Vilani stunned fans when she announced on Tuesday she was leaving Strictly Come Dancing, just three days after winning the show with Jay McGuinness. And while speculation continues to surround her relationship with The Wanted singer, close sources have revealed that she decided to quit the BBC show to fulfil her dream of starting a family.An insider told the Sun that the 31-year-old dancer is keen to start trying for a baby "right away" with her husband of one year, Vincent Kavanagh.

"Aliona loves children and is ready to have a family. As much as she loves Strictly she doesn't want to put her plans for a baby on hold any more," the source confirmed.The Daily Star, meanwhile, has reported that Kazakhstan-born Aliona is a "very private person" who grew "increasingly stressed" over the rumours surrounding her marriage throughout the show.Both she and Jay have denied speculation they are anything other than friends, and hours after announcing her departure from Strictly Come Dancing, Aliona uploaded a photo of herself and her husband Vincent preparing to jet away for a well-deserved Christmas break.

Aliona and Jay were crowned the 2015 Strictly champions on Saturday night, and shortly afterwards she announced her decision to quit the hit BBC One show after seven years.Sharing the news on Twitter, the professional dancer said she had always planned to leave at the end of this series. "Going into this Strictly Come Dancing Series 13, I decided that no matter what would happen, it will be my last," she told fans. "After seven years on Strictly Come Dancing as my finale, this has been my best Strictly experience ever by a long way!"
