Lily Rose Depp looked poised and relaxed as she made her acting debut at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday. The 16-year-old walked the red carpet with her Yoga Hosers co-stars ahead of the film's midnight screening at the annual festival.

The teenager has her first leading role in the movie, which also sees her act alongside her father Johnny Depp. The film is the middle part of director Kevin Smith's True North comedy horror trilogy, which began with 2014's Tusk.

The director previously joked that legendary actor Johnny had met his match while working with his teenage daughter, telling People: "It was adorable. There's a scene in an interrogation room between the two of them and they're actually trying to out act each other and it's really cute.

"Then Lily busts out some French - because she speaks French really fluently - and just shows him up."

Lily's star is on the ascendance since she made her first foray into acting, and she has since landed a number of high profile roles, including a leading part opposite Natalie Portman in the upcoming thriller Planetarium. The thriller will be set in the 1930s and see Natalie and Lily play spiritual sisters who are "believed to possess the supernatural ability to connect with ghosts".

Meanwhile in September it was announced that Lily will play the role of Isadora Duncan in The Dancer, due for release in 2016.

At the same time, Lily's modelling career has also taken off, and the ethereal beauty was snapped up by Chanel in the summer to model the brand's Pearl eyewear range.

"Lily Rose is stunning," Karl said in a statement in July. "She's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star."
