Congratulations are in order for Gogglebox star George Gilbey, who has announced he's going to be a dad. The reality star has revealed that he and his girlfriend Gemma, who have been dating for nine months, are expecting a baby girl together in June."I'm ecstatic. I am so, so excited," he told the Heat magazine. "It was so amazing when we found out we were having a girl."

George, 31, met school deputy head teacher Gemma at Ascot last year, and the couple quickly struck up a romance. The star said he met a lot of superficial girls after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, but said he immediately knew "Gemma was genuine"."After we'd been seeing each other for a week, she said, 'It's nice going out and all that, but can't we just stay in together?' That's when I knew it was proper, because she wasn't just interested in being seen with me. "George's baby announcement isn't his only big news – the TV star has confirmed he will be returning to Gogglebox. George, his mum Linda and her husband Pete were an instant hit when they first appeared on the show in 2013 – and the Essex family will be back on the sofa for the new series of the Channel 4 favourite.

It's been a busy time for the stars of Gogglebox. Another show favourite Stephen Webb revealed last month that he had proposed to his boyfriend of two and a half years, Daniel Lustig, during a holiday in India together. That news came just three months after his best friend and Gogglebox co-star Chris Steed announced his engagement news, after partner Tony Butland popped the question in Paris.
