Louis Walsh looks set for a big X Factor comeback, just one year after he was replaced by Nick Grimshaw. The 63-year-old will make a return to the ITV show for the next series, according to the Mirror, in a reported £800,000 deal."Simon and Louis work really well together," a source said. "He provides the perfect foil for Simon. They've had a couple of phone conversations and it's looking as if a deal will be done, although no paperwork has yet been signed."

Louis Walsh has reportedly been in talks with Simon Cowell about an X Factor comeback

Louis has previously spoken of his willingness to return to the X Factor. "If Simon asked me back, and I thought it would be fun, then absolutely I would," the star said. "If he wants the dream team then he gets me, him, Sharon Osbourne and either Mel B or Nicole Scherzinger. "He added: "I've had a year off and it’s been great. But I used to watch it and ring Simon after and tell him exactly what I thought was wrong with the show. He used to hate it. Simon needs to make a lot of changes, but he knows this. "The latest news follows the departure of Radio 1's Nick, as well as presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.

Former host Dermot O'Leary also looks set to return this series

X Factor bosses have reportedly lined up Dermot O'Leary to make a return to the show, reassuming his position as host for this year's series. "We want the show to be bigger and better than last year and one thing that people really missed was Dermot," a show insider told the Mirror. "He is as much part of The X Factor as Simon Cowell for most people so it makes sense to approach him about returning. "Dermot is thinking things through and a big money deal will be offered to try and tempt him back."
