Daisy Ridley is hot property in Hollywood right now thanks to her breakout role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And there's a good chance she is about to follow in the footsteps of one of the industry's biggest names – Angelina Jolie – after confirming she's been in talks to play Lara Croft in a highly-anticipated Tomb Raider reboot. The 23-year-old British actress confirmed the news while attending Sunday's Empire Awards in London. "There have been discussions," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm waiting for someone to say, 'I want you, let's do it.'"

Daisy is currently filming for Star Wars: Episode VII, and is also signed on for another sequel. But she says that won't stop her taking on the role made famous by Angelina, if given the chance. "Absolutely, I'm trying to fill up my calendar!" she said.It was reported earlier this month that Daisy was one of several actresses being considered for the new Tomb Raider movie, which doesn’t yet have a script. One person who thinks Daisy would be a perfect fit for the role is her Star Wars co-star John Boyega."I texted Daisy and was like, 'This is you!' and 'You need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft'," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "She should be!"
