EastEnders viewers are in for an emotional few weeks, as we prepare to say one final goodbye to Peggy Mitchell. The former Queen Vic landlady returns to our screens tonight – after previously revealing that her cancer has returned, and it's terminal.

Grant Mitchell will return to Albert Square this week

But Peggy's brief comeback, although sad, will bring the entire Mitchell family back together one last time, and new pictures reveal fan favourite Grant, played by Ross Kemp, receiving an urgent phone call from the Square. And you won't have to wait long to see him, as it's thought his first scenes in over 10 years will air later this week.

Danniella Westbrook has also returned as Sam Mitchell

As well as having to deal with the news about his mum, Grant will walk back into a Walford where brother Phil is married to his ex-wife Sharon, while cousins Ronnie and Roxy are currently involved in their own harrowing storylines.

Of course, no Mitchell reunion would be complete without feisty Sam – and Danniella Westbrook has also reprised her role in the BBC One soap ahead of Peggy's funeral. Danniella, 42, took to Instagram last week to share photos of her back on the set, six years after her last appearance.
