It looks like EastEnders resident Damien is finally getting his comeuppance. Next week viewers will see Bobby Beale being carted off by the police, after he attacks stepmum Jane and leaves her for dead.
Jane and husband Ian sent Bobby away to boarding school to cover-up his part in the murder of his sister Lucy but, after just a few days back on the Square, it's clear he's still as troubled as ever.
Jane Beale is left fighting for her life after son Bobby attacks her
During an altercation at home, Bobby savagely attacks Jane with a hockey stick – inflicting injuries so bad she needs emergency treatment. Seeing his mum laying bloodied in the exact spot where Lucy was discovered is too much for Bobby and he flees the house.
Ian, fulfilling his duties of best man at Stacey and Martin Fowler's wedding, is halfway through his speech when Bobby busts into the Queen Vic still clutching the hockey stick. Realising he's not going to get away with it this time, Bobby tells his dad the horrifying truth in front of the other wedding guests.
Will Bobby finally confess to killing his sister?
Martin, Ian and Ben Mitchell rush to Jane's aid and it's a race against time to get her to the hospital. Viewers will recall Ian and Jane doing everything in their power to keep Bobby away from the police after he accidentally killed Lucy, but it looks like the businessman is finally ready to turn his back on his son.
Bobby is arrested and taken to the police station for questioning, but it's unclear just how honest the youngster is prepared to be. Ian later joins his son at the station – will he finally admit the shocking truth?
These scenes will air on Monday 23 May at 8pm and Tuesday 24 May at 7.30pm on BBC One.
