According to Ladbrokes the star has the best chance at being offered the part, with 2/5 odds that Tom will be filling Daniel Craig's shoes.
Idris Elba
Ever since it was rumoured that Daniel Craig would be stepping down from the role, the Golden Globe award nominee has had a huge amount of supporters who want to see him play 007. Olivia Colman
There has been strong support for the actress to take over the role and become the first female Bond. As Tom Hiddleston's co-star in The Night Manager, many viewers wanted to forget all about Tom taking over from 007 and have Olivia take the role instead. One Twitter user wrote: "My entire feed is calling with one voice for Olivia Colman to be the next James Bond", while another wrote: "Never mind Hiddles - Olivia Colman should be the new James Bond!"

The star found mainstream attention with his role as the handsome title character in Poldark, and at 3/1 odds, he is the hottest choice to play James Bond after Tom Hiddleston.
Damian Lewis
The former Homeland star has been very vocal about how much he'd love to be Bond, telling The Sunday Times he has done everything he can to secure the role, even sending snaps of his abs to the filmmakers. He said: "I've sent them postcards from exotic locations. I've sent selfies of my abs from the gym. I've done everything I can to get the job, and nothing".
Michael Fassbender
Many fans think that Michael would be the perfect replacement to play Bond, citing his role in Inglorious Bastards, where he plays a calm and collected British spy, as the perfect audition to play the iconic hero. People are so passionate about Michael becoming 007 that they have even photoshopped him in posters.
Sam Heughan
Sam is currently playing the dreamy James Fraser on Outlander, and the star joked about becoming Bond on Twitter, writing: "Excited for the new #JamesBond Film #SPECTRE. Grown up with him. I know this Bond. #ImReadyToTakeOverWhenYouAreDaniel". However, after sending the tweet, fans jumped on the idea of Sam as the next Bond, with one fan writing: "we VOTE yes Sam! Hope hope hope!", as another wrote: "Sam would be a great Bond!"
