Jonny Labey

His EastEnders exit shocked fans this week, but could Jonny Labey, aka Paul Coker, be back on our screens sooner than we think? He wouldn't be the first 'Enders star to swap Albert Square for the dance floor – and he's a qualified dancer, with experience in ballet, tap and jazz.

Daisy Lowe

Reality TV shows aren't really her thing, but it's been rumoured Daisy Lowe has signed up to Strictly to "attract the younger viewers". The 27-year-old model is reportedly top of the list for bosses, and a source told Daily Star: "She's part of that trendy young Primrose Hill set and is quite edgy compared to a lot of those who normally sign up."

Will Young

It looks like Will Young is swapping the stage for the dancefloor, as he's the latest star to reportedly join the Strictly line-up. Will is no stranger to tense talent shows, having won the 2002 series of Pop Idol, beating Gareth Gates, and bosses think he'll bring some feistiness to the show.

A source told the Daily Star: "Will is a brilliant singing for us. He is extremely popular, he is a true professional, he can be quite competitive and he is no shrinking violet."

Louise Redknapp

She's well used to tricky dance routines thanks to her pop star background, so it's safe to say we're pretty excited that former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp is the latest celebrity to reportedly sign up.

Louise has been linked to the show before, and sources say Strictly bosses are over-the-moon that she's agreed to take part. An insider told The Sun: "They're absolutely thrilled they've finally got her. She grew up singing and dancing, which will stand her in good stead when the rehearsals and training kick in after the summer."

Anastacia

Way back in January it was reported that US diva Anastacia had been approached by Strictly bosses. The I'm Outta Love hit maker performed on the show last year, and it's thought it was then that she charmed her way into a spot in the line-up.

A source told the Mirror: "Anastacia was a hit with the team and everyone loved her when she performed on the show in November. She has been approached early so she can make accommodation arrangements as she's based in America."

Angelica Bell

In June The Sun reported that former CBBC presenter Angelica Bell was the first celebrity to sign up for this year's series. Although nothing has been confirmed, we're sure Angelica could get a few tips from husband Michael Underwood, who took part in the 2008 series of Dancing on Ice.

But let's hope Angelica has a bit more luck than Michael, who was forced to pull out of the show after breaking his ankle.

Charlotte Crosby

Her former Geordie Shore co-star Vicky Pattison charmed the country on last year's I'm a Celebrity, so could Charlotte Crosby enjoy the same success on Strictly this year?

After quitting the MTV reality TV show that made her famous, Charlotte took to Twitter in June to urge her fans to start a petition to get her in the Strictly line-up.

She wrote: "This would be my absolute dream."

Cheryl

Could Cheryl be swapping The X Factor for its biggest rival? Strictly judge Bruno Toniolli has confessed he'd love the Geordie pop princess to sign up for the show.

He told the Daily Star: "I would love to see Cheryl on the show. Why not? She is a nice girl. She would be good value."

Cheryl has been very complimentary of the BBC One dancing competition in the past, admitting that she never misses it despite her X Factor connections, so it's not totally unlikely…

Laura Whitmore

Her friend Caroline Flack took the Glitterball home in 2014, and now Laura Whitmore is reportedly hoping to do the same. According to sources, the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Now! presenter is hoping the exposure from Strictly will do the same for her career as it did for Caroline's, who went on to host The X Factor after her victory.

A source told The Sun: "Laura loves the show and is partial to dance on a night out so Strictly is a great fit."

Paul Burrell

Ex-royal butler Paul Burrell has allegedly signed up for the show, after taking part in I'm a Celebrity, Celebrity Coach Trip and Celebrity Big Brother. Insiders claim that, despite his huge reality TV experience, Strictly Come Dancing would be a dream come true for Paul.

A source told the Daily Star: "Paul has been keen to do Strictly for years because he loves watching it. He's now made the final shortlist of star names so he's thrilled."

Judge Rinder

He's the closest thing we've got to Judge Judy, so we can't imagine Judge Rinder – real name Robert – will take negative comments about his dancing lightly. And it's exactly that reason why producers are said to be keen to sign him up.

"Anybody who has watched Judge Rinder will know he's going to be a brilliant match for Craig [Revel-Horwood]," a show insider told The Sun. "Producers are hoping they'll go for each other and are predicting that viewers will tune in just to see them go head-to-head."

Ruth Langsford & Eamonn Holmes

Will This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes become the first couple to take part? She's not denying it…

During an episode of Loose Women in June, Phillip Schofield said he was planning to ask Craig Revel-Horwood if there was any truth to the rumours Ruth and Eamonn would be competing together – but directed the question to her instead.

Ruth replied: "Would I? Well I can't reveal that can I? You're not allowed to say if you are or you aren't."

Ryan Thomas

He recently quit Coronation Street and showed off his very buff body on Instagram, and it's thought Ryan Thomas' impressive transformation is what pushed the Strictly bosses to sign him up. And, according to sources, Ryan worked hard to get a six-pack in just 12-weeks in order to impress the show.

An insider told the Mirror: "Ryan is desperate to appear on Strictly. He thinks it's a brilliant programme and has been in talks with the show's producers. He's waiting to see if he'll make the show. There's lots of names in the mix so he has to prove himself."

Tameka Empson

Actress Tameka Empson – best known for playing EastEnders' Kim Fox-Hubbard – is believed to be following in co-star Jake Wood's footsteps by swapping Albert Square for the dancefloor.

Jake, who plays Max Branning in the BBC One soap, enjoyed huge success in 2014 and reached the semi-final, but could Tameka take it all the way?

In May she told Radio Times: "If Strictly Come Dancing came knocking, I'd be like, 'Hello!' I would be dancing all day every day. Bring it on! But not I'm a Celebrity. I'm not the right person for that show. I couldn't do it. It's not for me."
