Dick Van Dyke took a trip back to his famous role as chimney sweep Bert by performing Let's Go Fly a Kite from the classic children's film, Mary Poppins. The 90-year-old joined in with a four-person chorus outside of Walt Disney's birthplace in Chicago, and was in town for a fundraiser for The Walt Disney Birthplace and Dick Van Dyke Foundation for the Performing Arts.

The star had the crowds join in with the performance, and gleefully posted the video on his Facebook page, writing: "We're loving all the press for our visit in Illinois to visit my (and Jerry's) childhood home in Danville and Walt's Birthplace in Chicago!! Here is a much better angle of "Let's Go Fly a Kite!" Enjoy!!"

Dick performed Let's Go Fly a Kite for the crowd
Fans of the actor, who is best known for his roles in Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, praised the performance, with one writing: "Amazing. I still love that song at forty years old and so now does my five year old. Thank you Dick Van Dyke," while another wrote: "One of the best actors and still going strong because he's always loved the entertainment that he brought to the people."

It was recently announced that a sequel to the 1964 iconic film was finally being made, with Emily Blunt to play the title role while Lin Manuel Miranda, best known for playing the title role in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, will play a street lamplighter named Jack.
The film, which is due to be released in 2018, will follow a grown-up Jane and Michael and Michael's three children in Depression-era London, who will be visited by Mary Poppins following a personal loss.
