There's drama ahead for Coronation Street's Michelle Connor, and what is usually a happy time in a woman's life is going to trigger huge repercussions for her relationship with Steve McDonald.
Michelle, played by Kym Marsh, will discover she is pregnant after becoming broody while spending time with expectant friend Leanne Tisley. Although Michelle attempts to talk Steve into having a baby he's not so keen on the idea – leaving them both shocked by the news just weeks later.

According to show sources there are going to be complications throughout Michelle's pregnancy and birth, and it's the beginning of a huge storyline for both her and Leanne.
An insider revealed to the Mirror: "Michelle's pregnancy is big news for her and Steve but will end up having even bigger repercussions on the street. There's a huge storyline built around the births of the two new babies in the soap.
And it will have huge repercussions for her and Steve McDonald
"As always it is not going to be all plain sailing. It's going to be another huge storyline for Kym."
Kym, 40, recently opened up about Michelle's desire to have another child, confessing there's more than one reason behind her baby plans.
"She doesn't feel like she's needed as a mum by Ryan," Kym explained. "She's still young. It's a bit of a wake-up call for her really. There is a certain element of her thinking it will help her and Steve cement their relationship. But she does have a genuine desire to have a baby."
