Strictly Come Dancing has ticked the male eye candy box with Hollyoaks hunk Danny Mac! The actor is the latest star to join the line-up – but how will he cope on the dancefloor?
Danny, 28, is best known for playing Dodger in the hit Channel 4 soap between 2011 and 2015. During his time on the show he was named Sexiest Male for three years at the British Soap Awards and found love with his former co-star Carley Stenson, who played Steph Cunningham.
The news was confirmed via Strictly's official social channels, after they teased the identity of the seventh confirmed star.
Discussing the challenge ahead, Danny said: "I'm as terrified as I am excited! I've done a few bits and bobs of secret filming for the show and it's all become very real now. I can't believe that I am now part of the biggest show on television and I cannot wait to get started."
Danny Mac joins stars including Louise Redknapp
He joins Louise Redknapp, Ed Balls, Will Young Laura Whitmore, Ore Oduba and Melvin Odoom, who will all battle it out for the Glitter Ball later this year.
Danny follows in the footsteps of fellow former Hollyoaks stars Ricky Whittle, Ali Bastian and Ashley Taylor Dawson who have all competed on Strictly Come Dancing in the past.
