Holly Willoughby hosts new dating show – with a brilliant twist!

September 23, 2016

Forget First Dates or Take Me Out, there's a new dating show in town!

ITV has revealed that they plan to launch a brand new dating show with Holly Willoughby as the host, but with a brilliant twist! The show, which is called Meet the Parents, will see a contestant's parents meeting their potential suitor and aiming to impress with stories about their child, before the picker finally chooses which contestant they most like the sound of to date.

The picker on the hunt for romance will be able to ask the parents anything and everything about their offspring, from relationship history to hilarious childhood stories, while their son or daughter will be watching the whole interaction behind the scenes, with no control over what their parents let slip to the suitor (and on national television!).

After several parents chat to the potential suitor about their child, the picker then makes the decision on who they would most like to date and will finally meet their potential match, but not before they come face-to-face with every person they have turned down through their parents.

Holly will host ITV's brand new dating show

Holly opened up about the new dating show, saying: "We all know how embarrassing parents can be and nobody knows you better than they do.

"I can't wait to hear what humiliating secrets they'll be revealing and see who will regret leaving their love life in the hands of their parents."

The mother-of-three recently showed off a new hairstyle while hosting the show. Sharing a selfie of her new shoulder-length hair, she said: "New show… new lil' chop! @itvmeettheparents thanks everyone who came down to watch tonight! #meettheparents #love."
