Some of the antiquated terminology and the old wives' tales had other viewers in hysterics. Victoria's mum suggests drinking brandy for the baby, while lying down and resting from 12 noon to dinnertime was another recommendation.

"On the brandy in the first trimester.... " tweeted one fan. "Yeah cos brandy is the first thing a pregnant woman needs lol," posted another.

At the beginning of the episode, no one suspects that the Queen is pregnant and believes she's just ill. "Your Queen is sick," says Prince Albert's butler.

"We don't say sick, we say indisposed," he's told.

Queen Victoria is seen rushing out of a room, saying: "I am bilious, quickly!"

"If I'm ever pregnant again I'm definitely going to shout, "I am bilious!!!" wrote one fan. "She's even charming when she's throwing up," commented another.

"Yeah I can't come to school I'm indisposed. Yeah, out of my mouth," tweeted another.
