EastEnders was the big winner at this year's Inside Soap Awards, taking home the coveted best actor and best actress gongs.

Held at the London Hippodrome on Monday evening, the soap's biggest stars were out in full force to watch the glitzy extravaganza unfold.

The BBC One drama took home five prizes, with Steve McFadden (who plays hardman Phil Mitchell) and Lacey Turner (Albert Square favourite Stacey Fowler) scooping the awards for best actor and best actress, respectively.

Strictly Come Dancing's Tameka Empson won funniest female for her role as Kim Fox-Hubbard for the fifth time, while Lauren Branning's Jacqueline Jossa bagged sexiest female.

The fifth award was handed to Dame Barbara Windsor for best exit as she waved goodbye to Queen Vic matriarch Peggy Mitchell.

The Walford stalwart, who first appeared on the soap in 1994, took her own life after being diagnosed with terminal cancer in scenes which were broadcast in May.
