Just too much going on in her head! Sharon Osbourne took the opportunity of her appearance on Good Morning Britain today to explain how she managed to forget Saara Aalto's name on X Factor last night, and deny accusations that she'd been drinking.

Joining Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the GMB sofa, the 64-year-old TV star insisted she was just caught out for a moment as her mind wandered just before Saara was about to do her sing-off.

Sharon Osbourne has addressed her memory blank during The X Factor

“I was thinking about something else. I wish I could come up with a better excuse," she said. "I was thinking about songs, and I wondered what that jukebox is going to land on, what are we going to do next week and then I’m like, ‘Oh she’s in the bottom two again’ and all of this is going on in my head and then they go, ‘It’s you it’s you’ and I’m like, 'What? What am I doing?’

“I’ve got one coming from Louis [Walsh], one coming from Simon [Cowell] and they’re both telling me different towns, different countries, different names and they do it to wind me up and I fall for it," she said.

Sharon also used her TV appearance to shut down unkind Twitter accusations that her memory loss was the result of her being drunk while doing the show.

"Listen trolls on Twitter," she blasted. "I have seen too many careers destroyed, family members destroyed from alcohol, this Mrs ain’t going there."

Sharon revealed she and Ozzy are "on track"

Sharon, who split from husband Ozzy Osbourne back in May after reports of an extra-marital affair broke, also opened up about her rekindled romance with her hubby.

"Everything is good," she said. "Everything’s on track. Listen I’m blessed, I have a blessed life, I’m very lucky to be doing what I do.

“I have come through and I’m definitely out the other side," she continued. "It makes you realise how short your life is, how precious your love is and your family. You know what, my hubby might be a dirty dog, but he’s my dirty dog. I’ve known him since I was 18 and I’m 64 can you believe it?”
