Perhaps the X Factor's most controversial contestant ever has come forward to defend herself, revealing that she has no time for negative comments and ignores "haters" while enjoying her time on the singing competition.
Admitting that she didn't realise she would get this far in the show, Honey G told ITV's This Morning: "I had no idea that I'd get to this point. And obviously I came back into the competition as a Wild Card and I don’t know whether you know, but I was given 48 hours' notice that I would be going to judges houses in LA, and to make it through to the live shows and get this far, it's just incredible.
Honey G opened up during an interview on This Morning
"I've seen what I'm capable of, and I feel like I've been born as a rap star… and want to go all the way to the final."
Speaking about the controversy surrounding her having made it this far in the competition, particularly after fellow Over 25 contestant Relley C was voted off the show in the last episode, the 35-year-old rapper said: "Sometimes when I see things that are negative, I just don't click on them anymore… just talk to the hand. I don't even wanna like bother looking at it.
"Obviously all the haters out there that are going to the press and giving the press stories… you know, to me, all these people are just haters. They need to check themselves because they literally mean nothing to me and they are never going to get anywhere when they are preaching all this hate."
Honey G will be performing on the X Factor on Saturday night
She also addressed 50 Cent's comments after the Grammy award-winning artist defended her act, calling her "entertaining."
"It's incredible, I'm so excited about this," she revealed.
"50 Cent has evidently endorsed me! He's come forward and basically backed me… and said that I'm good for the hip hop music and I'm good for the hip hop game… I'm just like so chuffed… Legend. It's 50 Cent!
